Few things make pet parents happier than seeing their adorable animals with bushy tails. The welfare of a dog belongs entirely to its pet owners. It is crucial to provide him with a nutritious and balanced diet, but it is also crucial for his health to make sure he isn’t consuming any harmful foods. Keep in mind that good snacks for your furry child may not necessarily transfer into healthy human meals. There is a list of dangerous “human” foods that should not be given to our animal pals.

“The best thing for their health, according to veterinarians, is the proper feed. Depending on their age, size, gender, and genetic make-up, dogs have varying dietary needs. Therefore, a proper diet looks different for everyone,” according to Dr. Dilip Sonune, Wiggles’ Veterinary Officer.

You can select between dry food and wet food, or you can combine the two, depending on your pet’s taste and choice. To maintain your pet’s good health, always talk to your veterinarian about their nutritional requirements.

According to the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), depending on her breed and the size of her litter, a pregnant and breastfeeding mother needs 1.5 to 3 times the nutrients of an adult dog. She needs to recover a lot of energy after giving birth. Her body suffers as a result of pregnancy and childbirth. They thus require fatty meals to restore their vitality and natural superfoods to strengthen their immune systems.

Omega 3 & 6, high-quality protein, and fish oil are essential for the development of a puppy’s brain, bones, and coat. Compared to humans, who require about 18% of their daily calories from protein, developing puppies require between 22 and 32 percent. Senior dog nutrition is quite different from adult dog nutrition.

Most Indians feed their animals home meals, which could not give dogs a complete and balanced diet. There are several typical foods that should be avoided.

Adult dogs can’t digest animal milk products (apart from curd, yogurt, and cheese) because it upsets their stomachs, although pups can.

The chief veterinarian of Supertails, Dr. Shantanu Kalambi, advises against giving pets foods like grapes, onions, dried fruits, tea, coffee, and sweets since they might be poisonous to them. Choose vet-approved pet treats and food instead.

Because they contain artificial sweeteners that cause diabetes, feeding them human biscuits is extremely dangerous.
